Mexia, TX – A 19-year-old man is dead following a traffic collision involving a car and a truck tractor on US-84 near Mexia Thursday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Damian Molina Jr. ID’d as Driver Killed in Mexia Rear-end Collision
DPS said a preliminary investigation revealed that Damian Molina Jr., 19, of Mexia was driving a Ford Mustang eastbound on US-84 when he crashed into the rear of a truck tractor semi-trailer.
Molina Jr. of Mexia was pronounced dead at the scene, according to DPS.
No other injuries were reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
