Cory Lights Fatally Hit by Vehicle at North Big Spring Street and Nobles Avenue in Midland
Midland, Texas (September 13, 2018) – A 41-year-old Midland man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Wednesday night in Midland, according to the police.
The crash was reported shortly after 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12 near North Big Spring Street and Nobles Avenue.
Police said Cory Lights was crossing North Big Spring Drive outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a 1999 GMC pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old.
Lights suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:45 a.m. Thursday.
The driver of the vehicle involved was not immediately identified.
The Midland Police Department is investigating the crash.
