Two Killed and One Injured in Midland Car Crash with Bicycles on Highway 158 near County Road 1250

Midland County, Texas (April 27, 2018) – Two bicyclists were killed, and another injured Wednesday night in a crash involving a car in Midland.
According to troopers, the accident happened at around 8:22 p.m., April 25 on Highway 158 near County Road 1250.
Ricardo Madera of Eagle Pass was driving while intoxicated and hit three bicyclists.
Two bicyclists; 42-year old Camron Stotts, of Midland and 47-year old Michael Mestas, of Odessa died at the crash scene. A third bicyclist, Thomas Haislip sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Charges including; intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault and fleeing a crash scene, are pending against Madera.
Troopers are investigating the crash.
