Limestone County, TX – A 92-year-old woman was killed Monday morning in a multi-vehicle collision in Limestone County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal collision happened around 9:00 a.m. on April 27 on US 84 east of Mexia.
DPS said Buddie Marce Thompson was driving a 2009 Volkswagen Beetle westbound when she stopped in the main lane, waiting to turn left.
A westbound 2018 Toyota SUV failed to reduce its speed and rear-ended the Volkswagen Beetle.
The force of the impact pushed the Volkswagen Beetle into the eastbound lane, where it was hit by a tractor-trailer.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Texas DPS is investigating the collision.
