Austin Police Officer, 3 Others Injured in Crash at East Riverside and Montopolis Drives in SE Austin

Four Injured in Southeast Austin Car Crash at East Riverside and Montopolis Drives

Austin, Texas (May 29, 2018) – An APD officer and a child were among four people injured when a vehicle collided with a police car early Tuesday morning in southeast Austin.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the crash took place shortly before 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of East Riverside and Montopolis Drives.
It’s unclear how the collision occurred.
The EMS crews transported two adults to Dell Seton Medical Center and another to South Austin Medical Center. A child was taken to Dell Children’s Hospital.
The four were said to have suffered serious non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the civilian vehicle is expected to face DUI charges.
