Apolinar  Ramos ID’d as Good Samaritan Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on I-10 near Airway

El Paso, Texas (June 5, 2018) – The authorities have identified the Good Samaritan who was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday morning in El Paso as Apolinar ‘Polo’ Ramos, 25.
The fatal crash occurred on Saturday, June 2 along I-10 West near Airway.
Police said Ramos and a second Good Samaritan had stopped to check on people that were involved in another crash when a 1984 Oldsmobile CBR operated by 27-year-old Gerardo Molina swerved to avoid crashing into another car.
Molina then started to slide sideways, hitting Ramos.
The force of the impact ejected Ramos into the eastbound lanes of I-10. Ramos was declared dead at the scene.
Molina and his 24-year-old female passenger were taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
