Austin, Texas (February 18, 2018) –  One of the two bicyclists who were hospitalized after being hit by a truck on Saturday morning in Northwest Austin has succumbed to his injuries.
Andrew Tilin died from the crash that took place shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday, February 17, near Marshall Ford Road and North FM 620.
According to police, Tilin was riding on North FM 620 alongside a group of cyclists from the Grupo VOP when he pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway due to a flat tire.
As Tilin was fixing the tire, a pickup truck collided with a car, and the impact caused the truck to strike him.
Tilin and another person were both taken to Round Rock Medical Center, where Tilin was later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the crash.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
