Amanda Ferguson ID’d as Woman Killed in El Paso Pedestrian Accident at North Mesa and Cincinnati Avenue
El Paso, Texas (November 27, 2018) – The woman who was killed early Thursday morning in a hit-and-run accident in El Paso has been identified as Amanda Weyant Ferguson, 28, according to a report by police.
The fatal accident took place at about 2:45 a.m. Thursday, November 22 at the intersection of North Mesa and Cincinnati Avenue.
As per the report, Ferguson was crossing Mesa in a crosswalk when she was hit by a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, whose driver fled the scene. The vehicle was later found abandoned.
Ferguson died the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. The crash remains under investigation.
