Alfonso Remirez Jr. Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on North County Road West in Odessa
Odessa, Texas (September 30, 2018) – The man who was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run accident in Northwest Odessa has been identified as Alfonso Vasquez Remirez Jr., 55, according to authorities.
The tragic accident was reported to police at about 8:28 p.m. Friday, September 28 near the 900 Block of North County Road West (NCRW)
Authorities said Remirez was walking southwest across the NCRW when for an unknown reason he was hit by a southbound white or silver 4-door pickup.
The driver of the pickup didn’t stop to render aid and was last seen turning westbound onto 9th Street.
Remirez was declared deceased at the scene.
According to Odessa Police Department (OPD), the suspect’s truck was described as possibly a Ford or Chevrolet. The bed of the truck is a flat, diamond plate with a welder on the back.
