Alberto Valdez Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-40 near Amarillo in Potter County

Alberto Valdez Identified as Man Killed in Potter County Crash on Interstate 40

Amarillo, Texas (December 13, 2018) – The man who was killed in a fatal two-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Potter County has been identified as Alberto Valdez, 71, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at around 6:18 a.m. December 11 on Interstate 40, approximately seven miles west of Amarillo.
DPS said a 2016 Ford F-150 that was towing a trailer eastbound and merging onto I-40 crashed into the rear of a 1979 Ford pickup truck that was stopped partially in the eastbound lane.
Valdez was identified as the driver of the stopped Ford. He was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash.
