Alberto Hernandez Killed in Crash in Reeves County
Reeves County, Texas (January 10, 2018) – A man was killed and another person hospitalized in a crash in Reeves County Monday night, Texas Department of Public Safety said.
The crash happened on Monday, January 8, on the service road of Interstate 20 near Pecos.
According to DPS, one big rig failed to yield the right of way to another big rig that was trying to enter the westbound Interstate 20 on Ramp.
The 35-year-old driver of the struck big rig, Alberto Hernandez, of Hialeah Gardens, Florida, was taken Reeves County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The second big rig driver, 37-year-old Alejandro Elizondo, of Alamo, Texas, was transported to Reeves County Hospital suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
The wreck remains under investigation.
