5 Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Accident on US Highway 82 in Cooke County

Several Injured in Cooke County Car Crash on US Highway 82

Cooke County, Texas (October 12, 2018) – Several people were hurt on Wednesday night when two vehicles collided in Cooke County, according to the Gainesville Police Department.
The incident was reported at around 8:37.m. October 10, at Lawrence Street and U.S. 82.
Police said a Dodge truck was traveling westbound on US 82 when the driver got distracted and crashed into the back of a Dodge Caravan that was stopped for a red light at Lawrence Street.
The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The five occupants of the Caravan were transported to North Texas Medical Center for treatment. One of them was then airlifted to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth and another one flown to Medical City Plano. The conditions of the five victims were unknown.
The crash remained under investigation.
