3 Injured in 3-Car Crash on North Masters Drive in Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove, Texas (September 16, 2018) – Three children were injured late Saturday night in a traffic accident in Pleasant Grove, according to Dallas police.
The accident took place at around 11:10 p.m. Saturday, September 15 in the 300 block of North Masters Drive.
Police said the three children were riding in a car when they were hit by a stolen vehicle driven by a man under the influence of multiple drugs.
The man was reportedly driving the wrong way on the northbound lanes of North Masters Drive when officers attempted to pull over the man. He then veered over the median and started speeding down the southbound lanes.
Minutes later, the vehicle rear-ended the car driven by a 17-year-old girl. Three children, a 9-month-old, a 2-year-old and a 14-year-old were unrestrained in the back seat of the car.
The man also slammed into a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old man.
The 9-month-old sustained a skull fracture with possible internal injuries, the 2-year-old broke her arm, and the 14-year-old had a brain bleed. They were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
It was unclear if the teen driving the children or the man in the third car were injured.
According to police, the vehicle used in the pursuit was reported stolen in an aggravated robbery ten days earlier. The driver was arrested on three counts of intoxication assault and a charge of evading arrest. A toxicology screening showed he was on multiple drugs at the time accident.
The unidentified man was transported to Baylor University Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
