Mercedes, TX – Two women were killed on Tuesday in a head-on collision in Mercedes, according to the police.

The deadly collision happened on March 17 at the intersection of Mile 9 and FM 491.

Police said a white Buick attempted to pass four cars when it crashed head-on into a blue Ford Maverick.

A female passenger in the back of the Maverick and the Buick driver were killed in the accident.

Another female passenger in the front of the Maverick and the driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating the accident.
