2 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 20 in Terrell

Terrell, Texas (May 26, 2018) – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Terrell Thursday afternoon.
The collision was reported at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24 on eastbound Interstate 20 near mile marker 495, just west of Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 and the Terrell city limits.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, a Chevy 3500 pickup truck was hauling a trailer when it rear-ended a truck-tractor, causing it to strike two other vehicles.
One of the occupants in the pickup truck was pinned in the vehicle, extricated, and airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital. A second occupant was taken by ground ambulance to Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Sunnyvale, Texas, with minor injuries.
Eastbound Interstate 20 was blocked at FM 1641 where motorists were diverted to an alternative route.
According to police, the highway was expected to reopen in about an hour.
An investigation into the crash is underway.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
