Austin, TX – Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle collision in north Austin, according to the deputies.

The collision was reported around 6:16 a.m. in the 16400 block of North Interstate 35.

Deputies said seven vehicles were involved in the collision.

Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The collision closed the southbound lanes of the interstate for about two hours.

The collision remains under investigation.
