2 Hospitalized after 2-Vehicle Crash at Lotus Lane and North John Redditt Drive in Lufkin

2 Injured in Lufkin Car Accident at Lotus Lane and North John Redditt Drive
Lufkin, Texas (December 29, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized Friday afternoon after a traffic accident at an intersection in Lufkin, authorities said.
The wreck happened at around 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 28 at the intersection of Lotus Lane and North John Redditt Drive.
According to the authorities, a Jeep Liberty was making a left turn on the southbound lane at the intersection when it collided with a Mazda that was traveling on the northbound lane.
The driver of the Mazda and a passenger of the Jeep were both transported to area hospitals with unspecified injuries. Their names and condition were not immediately disclosed.
The Mazda sustained extensive damage to its front and driver’s side while the Jeep had damage on its passenger side.
The section of Lotus Lane inside the loop was closed near the intersection and the turning lane, which leads to Lotus Lane on North John Redditt Drive was also shut down as emergency crews worked to clear the site of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
