2 Colony Police Officers, Driver Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash at Plano Parkway in Colony

The Colon, Texas (June 1, 2018) – Three people, including two police officers, were injured in a two-vehicle collision Thursday night in the Colony, according to a news release from the police.
The accident took place at around 10 p.m. Thursday, May 31, on the State Highway 121 service road in the northbound lanes at Plano Parkway.
According to the police, the two Colony Police officers were in the cruiser when the squad car was struck by another vehicle while entering the intersection at Plano Parkway causing the squad car to roll.
The report said the squad car was responding to another call with its lights and sirens activated.
The two officers and the driver of the other vehicle all suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for medical attention.
The crash led to a closure of the State Highway 121 service road for several hours during an investigation.

The information for this blog post was obtained from public media and is for informational purposes.  No attorney-client relationship is established unless the law firm is formally retained. We understand this is a difficult time for the family of those affected by a tragic accident, and we offer our sincere sympathies.  While the thought of hiring a law firm may not feel appropriate at this time, as a public service we like to advise that in some cases it may be important to immediately begin securing evidence (such as photos of skid marks and property damage) and witness statements before it’s too late.
