The front-seat passenger of the Silverado was killed in the accident
Houston, TX. – One person was killed in a car accident that left another injured on Monday afternoon in Houston.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal collision happened around 3 p.m. on I-10 East Freeway near Beltway 8.
A box truck was traveling down the freeway when it developed engine problems and slowed to 15 mph in the middle of the road.
Two vehicles swerved to avoid the truck but a Chevy Silverado ended up striking the truck.
The front-seat passenger of the Silverado was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Silverado was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
