Walker County, TX. – A Montgomery County deputy was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Walker County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on FM 2296 at Pineridge Lane

The patrol vehicle rear-ended a vehicle while traffic was stopped for construction, resulting in a four-car pileup.

The deputy was extricated before being airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.

One of the drivers was taken to hospital as a precaution
