Tyler, TX. – One person was seriously injured in a collision involving a school bus on Monday morning in Smith County.

The accident happened in the 16700 block of FM 2493 (Old Jacksonville Highway), according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A school bus reportedly collided head-on with a pickup truck.

The pickup driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

No children were on board at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
