1 Injured In 2-Car Crash near Highway 84 and State Highway 6 Intersection in Waco

Waco, Texas (December 18, 2017) – According to Waco police report, one person was injured in a collision involving two vehicles Sunday evening in front of a Waco restaurant.
The accident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, December 17, near Highway 84 and State Highway 6 intersection in front of the Whataburger on Loop 340.
Police said that a Chevrolet Sonic and a Jeep Wrangler collided sending one person to a hospital.
According to a police report, no critical injuries were sustained as a result of the collision.
The traffic around the incident site was diverted by police and the drivers leaving Highway 6 were advised to use E. Highway 84, but avoid the bridge at the intersection of the accident site.
The drivers who were already eastbound on Highway 84 were forced to use the bridge since the incident blocked off access to Highway 84 past the Whataburger, authorities said.
No further details regarding the identity of the victim and the cause of the crash were immediately provided.
We extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
