1 Hospitalized after DUI Crash on University Avenue in Lubbock

Driver Seriously Injured in Lubbock Car Accident on University Avenue and 94th Street
Lubbock, Texas (December 29, 2018) – A driver was hospitalized Sunday morning following a suspected DUI accident in Lubbock, police said.
The crash happened at about 6:00 a.m. Sunday, December 16 on University Avenue and 94th Street.
According to the police, Richard Andrew Garcia was driving along University Avenue when his vehicle crossed the intersection and slammed into another vehicle. Garcia did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital with major injuries.
No further details regarding the crash were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
