The accident happened around 11:55 a.m. on April 26 on the Gulf Freeway near Scott Street.

Authorities said the woman was trying to cross the freeway when she was struck by a vehicle.

A total of five vehicles collided after the initial accident.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident closed all the southbound lanes of the freeway near Scott Street.

The authorities are investigating the accident.
