One Killed in Dallas Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35E near Commonwealth Drive
Dallas, Texas (December 23, 2018) – A person was fatally struck by a car Saturday night at a West Dallas freeway, according to a local news release.
The deadly accident took place at about 8:30 p.m. December 22, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35E near Commonwealth Drive.
Police said the pedestrian was crossing the freeway when a Mercedes struck them for unknown reasons.
The victim was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity was not immediately disclosed.
Interstate 35E was shut down as authorities investigated the crash. Irving police closed a portion nearby Texas 183.
An investigation is ongoing.
