Jefferson County, TX – Two people were killed in a head-on collision Thursday night in Jefferson County west of Beaumont, according to the authorities.
The fatal wreck happened around 9:40 p.m. on January 8 on State Highway 105 near Keith Road.
DPS said a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes when it crashed head-on into a 2022 Nissan Sentra.
A westbound 2021 Ford Explorer struck the debris from the collision.
The Chevrolet driver, 38-year-old Johnny McClain Jr., from Beaumont, and the Sentra driver, 50-year-old Wendy Brooks from Beaumont, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and two passengers of the Ford were uninjured in the accident.
The authorities are investigating the accident.
