Hernandez was injured in the accident and was taken to Scenic Mountain Medical Center

Howard County, TX. – 30-year-old Jose Christian Jasso was killed in a car accident in Howard County on Saturday.

The fatal accident happened on IH-20, near mile marker 176, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

24-year-old Alejandro Hernandez was driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound in the outside lane of the freeway when he crashed into a Ford truck that was parked on the shoulder.

Jasso was walking outside his vehicle and was also struck.

Jasso was killed in the accident.

Hernandez was injured in the accident and was taken to Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring.

The two passengers inside the Ford were unhurt.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
