San Antonio, TX – A man was critically injured Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident in San Antonio’s Far East Side, according to the police.
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on September 16 on the access road of Interstate 10 West near Bicentennial Drive.
Police said the man hesitated while crossing the street when he was struck by a four-door sedan.
The driver stopped and tried to help the pedestrian.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
As officers worked to turn traffic around on the access road, an 18-wheeler backed into a parked police vehicle. No officers were injured in that accident.
The police are investigating the accident.
