Midland, TX – One person was killed early Friday morning in a head-on collision in Midland, according to the police.
The fatal collision took place around 1:55 a.m. on September 5 on North Big Spring Street south of Loop 250.
Police said a GMC pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it drifted into the southbound lanes, crashed head-on into another vehicle, and rolled over.
The driver of the other vehicle was killed in the accident. Their identity has not been released.
The GMC driver was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.
The police are investigating the accident.
