Panayotis Pavlis Man Fatally Hit by Vehicle on US 287 in Anderson County

41-Year-Old Panayotis Pavlis Dies in Anderson County Pedestrian Crash on US 287

Anderson County, Texas (December 8, 2018) – A 41-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday morning in Anderson County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident occurred at about 5:45 a.m. December 6 on US Highway 287, approximately 5 miles north of Elkhart.
DPS said Tami Lashon Sheppard, 42, of Grapeland, was driving a car southbound on US 287 when she struck Panayotis Asimakis Pavlis, 41, who was walking in the southbound lane of the highway.
According to the report, Pavlis was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The DPS is investigating the incident.
