Groesbeck, TX – One person was killed and another was injured Friday morning in a head-on collision west of Groesbeck, according to the Texas DPS.
The deadly collision took place around 3:00 a.m., June 20, on State Highway 164, near County Road 396.
DPS said Dawson Chandler, 22, of Conroe, Texas, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when she drove onto the wrong side of the roadway and slammed into a truck tractor semi-trailer.
Chandler was killed in the accident.
The driver of the tractor semi-trailer was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Waco with non-life-threatening injuries.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
