Laterey Blizzard Dies in El Paso Pedestrian Crash on I-10

El Paso, Texas (November 15, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Saturday morning in El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.
The accident took place at about 1 a.m. November 10 on Interstate 10 West at Geronimo Street.
Police said Latorey Jamelle Blizzard, 40, was trying to cross the westbound lanes of I-10 when he was struck by a 2006 white Nissan Altima driven by Joel Villareal Soto, 28.
A second vehicle struck Blizzard while lying on the roadway after the initial impact. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene. Police said the vehicle was a silver 1998 – 2002 Honda Accord.
Blizzard was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are investigating the incident.
