A white Chevy Traverse was traveling southbound on Oak Grove when it struck a juvenile girl

San Angelo, TX. – A child was injured in a bicycle accident on Wednesday afternoon in San Angelo.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Oak Grove and Laurel Oak.

A white Chevy Traverse was traveling southbound on Oak Grove when it struck a juvenile girl riding a bicycle on Laurel Oak Road.

The girl was injured in the accident and was taken to Shannon Medical Center.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
