The deadly accident happened at about 8 p.m. Sunday, December 22 near mile marker 24.
Laredo, TX – The DPS has identified the two drivers who died in a head-on collision on I-35 as 28-year-old Carlos Andres Jaime and 32-year-old Teofilo Ivan Granda.
According to DPS, a gray Mazda, operated by Teofilo Granada, was heading northbound on I-35 when it was hit head-on by a black 2012 Audi SUV traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
Granada was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Audi, later identifiedas Carlos Jaime, was pronounced dead at a Laredo Hospital.

Laredo, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a deadly two-car accident on I-35 in Laredo on Sunday.
The deadly accident happened at about 8 p.m. Sunday, December 22 near mile marker 24.
According to DPS, a gray Mazda was heading northbound on I-35 when it was hit head-on by a black 2012 Audi SUV traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
The driver of the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Audi was transported to a Laredo hospital where he was pronounced dead.
