Jayde Sherbert Killed in San Marcos Crash on South Interstate 35 near Texas 123

San Marcos, Texas (October 13, 2018) – A woman was killed when her vehicle crashed into an 18-wheeler on Thursday night in San Marcos, according to the San Marcos Police Department.
The accident occurred on South Interstate 35 near the Texas 123 exit on Thursday, October 11.
Police said Jayde Nicole Sherbert, 22, of San Marcos, was driving a black 2018 Nissan Altima when she crashed into the rear of the big rig as it slowed down for construction ahead.
Sherbert was killed in the crash.
The driver of the big rig was not injured.
Police said Sherbert may have been distracted when the crash occurred.
The incident remains under investigation.
