77-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Durham Drive near Center Street
Houston, Texas (October 5, 2018) – The 77-year-old man who was struck and critically injured by a vehicle Monday in Houston has succumbed to his injuries, authorities said.
The deadly accident took place at an unspecified time Monday, October 1 in the 1000 Durham Drive near Center Street.
According to the authorities, the man was crossing the street on Durham Drive outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a gray Jeep Wrangler that was turning left from Center Street onto Durham.
The Jeep driver stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
Responding paramedics took the man to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, October 3. His name has not yet been disclosed pending identification and notification of next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
