Eric Allen ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in San Antonio Crash on Weidner near Wurzbach Parkway
San Antonio, Texas (September 27, 2018) – The motorcyclist who was killed Monday evening in a DUI crash in San Antonio has been identified as Eric Lee Allen, 53, according to police.
The deadly accident happened at around 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 24 on Weidner near Wurzbach Parkway.
Police said Allen was turning left on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Weidner when Hector Lopez, 31, ran a red light and his BMW SUV hit Allen.
Allen, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Lopez was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. He is being held in the Bexar County jail.
The crash remains under investigation.
