55-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Produce Row
Houston, Texas (September 27, 2018) – A 55-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle last week Thursday in Houston, authorities said.
The fatal accident took place on Thursday, September 20 in the 3173 block of Produce Row.
According to the authorities, the operator of a tractor-trailer truck was backing the vehicle toward a loading dock at a produce warehouse at 3173 Produce Row when the man walked behind the trailer and was hit by the vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene and took the man to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The trailer driver stopped at the scene and complied with investigators.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
