Nancy Jones ID’d as Woman Killed in Tyler Pedestrian Accident on Texas 155 South
Tyler, Texas (September 5, 2018) – The woman who was killed Tuesday night after she was hit by two vehicles while walking on Texas 155 South in Tyler has been identified as Nancy Sue Jones, 41, of Tyler, according to a local news source.
According to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident occurred at around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 4 on Texas 155, about two miles south of Tyler city limits.
As per the report, Jones was walking on the southbound lane when she was struck by a 2016 Ford Fusion, driven by Katrina Conory Pierce, 27, of Frankston.
Jones was then hit by another vehicle, a 2003 Ford Focus, driven by Andrea Elise Elder, 21, of Flint.
According to the report, Jones was declared dead at the scene by Judge Alfred and her body was taken to Lighthouse Mortuary in Tyler.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
