Woman Killed in Car Crash on Hwy 290 in Harris County

Harris County, Texas – A woman was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal crash happened just after 5:45 a.m., on Highway 290.

Deputies said the woman was in a vehicle that was stalled on the freeway when the vehicle was rear-ended by a larger pickup truck.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The crash closed the freeway for several hours and was reopened at 9:30 a.m.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
