Ernesto Garza Injured in Victoria Crash on US 87 near Wood Hi Road

Victoria, Texas (September 1, 2018) – One person was injured when the debris from a two-vehicle collision struck him on Thursday night in Victoria, according to the DPS.
The incident took place at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, August 30 on US 87 near Wood Hi Road.
DPS said Cleveland Matthew Turner, 45, of Walker, made a turn on the highway and collided with a second vehicle.
A metal was sent flying by the crash and ended up striking a Transit bus carrying Inteplast Group employees.
The driver of the bus, Ernesto Garza, 68, of Victoria, was also struck by the metal debris.
DPS said Garza suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention.
No other injuries were reported from the crash.
The DPS is conducting an investigation into the incident.
