Motorcyclist Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 83 in Hawley

Hawley, Texas (August 20, 2018) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Sunday evening in Hawley, police said.
The incident happened at around 5 p.m. Sunday, August 19, on Highway 83.
Police said a minivan was traveling southbound on Highway 83 when it drifted into the northbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle.
The rider sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The identities of the parties involved were not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
