62-Year-Old Jesse Samuel Jr Injured in Newton County Crash on US 190 and FM 1012

Newton County, Texas (August 15, 2018) – A 62-year-old man was injured when his vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler on Tuesday morning in Newton County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash occurred on US 190 at FM 1012 on Tuesday, August 14.
DPS said Jesse Samuel Jr., 62, was driving a pickup truck eastbound on US 190 when he crashed into the rear of an 18-wheeler that slowed to make a left turn at FM 1012.
Samuel was transported to a Beaumont hospital with critical injuries.
There were no other injuries reported from the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
