Man Killed in Interstate 45 Freeway Crash at Richey Road

Truck Hits and Kills Man on I-45 Near Richey Road in Houston

Houston, Texas (February 20, 2017) – A man was killed Saturday night after he was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the street in Houston, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 9:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 on I-45 at Richey Road, as per the report.
According to a report, a man tried to cross the northbound lanes of the freeway when a passing pickup truck struck him.
Reportedly, the truck skidded after hitting the pedestrian and was rear-ended by an SUV that was behind it.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
One of the two occupants of the truck was taken to a hospital with mild injuries.  Both drivers were not injured, and none of them was driving while intoxicated.
