Peggy Boomer, Jack LaFoy Killed in Groesbeck Car Crash on SH 164 near CR 800

Groesbeck, Texas (August 7, 2018) – Two drivers were killed when their vehicles collided head-on east of Groesbeck on Monday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened shortly after noon on Monday, August 6 on State Highway 164 near CR 800.
Police said Jack LaFoy, 68, of Texas City, was driving a Toyota Tacoma eastbound in the westbound side of SH 164 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Equinox that was being driven by Peggy Boomer, 85, of Marquez.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in Boomer’s vehicle was taken to Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck for treatment.
The crash remained under investigation.
