Man Injured in Houston Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 45 near Allen Parkway

Houston, Texas (August 5, 2018) – A man was injured Friday night in a motorcycle accident in downtown Houston, police said.
The collision happened on Friday, August 3 on Interstate 45 near Allen Parkway.
According to the police, the man was riding his motorcycle on the freeway when for an unknown reason he was hit by a white truck. The rider then lost control and slammed into the plastic barrels at the Allen Parkway off-ramp.
The force of the impact ejected the rider from his motorcycle.
Police responded to the scene and they found the rider lying on the freeway. He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital with serious injuries, but he was later listed in stable condition.
Police said the truck driver fled the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
