Anna Gonzalez Killed, One Critically Injured in Hit-And-Run Crash on West Martin and North Brazos Streets in San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas (August 4, 2018) – The woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash that left another person critical on Wednesday night in San Antonio has been identified as Anna Gonzalez, 49, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The auto-pedestrian accident occurred at around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 1 on West Martin and North Brazos streets.
According to the police, Gonzalez and another woman were walking across the roadway when they were both struck by a speeding car.
Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver involved was later taken into custody after police received a tip from a witness who had followed the suspect. The driver is facing hit-and-run charges.
