Child injured in Odessa Bicycle Accident on Washington Lane at East Murphy Street
Odessa, Texas (August 3, 2018) – A 13-year-old boy was injured Thursday afternoon in a bicycle crash in Odessa, according to police.
The accident happened on August 2, at the intersection of Washington Lane and East Murphy Street.
Police said the boy was cycling southbound on Washington Lane when he ran a red light and hit a silver Dodge Ram which was heading eastbound on the 1000 block of East Murphy.
The boy suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Medical Center Hospital.
The roads were blocked between Wabash Avenue and Lindy Avenue as police investigated the crash.
An investigation is underway.
