Officer Injured in Lee County Truck Accident on Highway 71
Lee County, Texas (July 23, 2018) – A trooper was injured on Monday in a traffic collision in Lee County, according to a local news source.
The crash took place on Highway 71, K & C Quick Stop.
According to police, the Texas Department of Public Safety trooper collided with an 18-wheeler for reasons still under investigation.
The trooper was flown to a hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries was not disclosed.
The crash shut blocked both directions of the highway, just east and north of the K & C Quick Stop.
No other details regarding the crash were available.
DPS is investigating the cause of the crash.
