46-Year-Old Shannon Clayborne Killed in Plainview Train Crash on North Columbia Street

Plainview, Texas (July 20, 2018) – A woman was hit and killed by a train on Thursday morning in Plainview, according to the Plainview Police Department.
The crash was reported at around 8:40 a.m. Thursday, July 19, in the 2800 block of North Columbia Street.
It’s unclear what the pedestrian was doing on the tracks when she was hit by a northbound Burlington Northern train.
The victim, identified as Shannon Clayborne, 46, of Lubbock, died at the site of the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
